Have us as a 12 seed playing vs UCLA in Louisville.

"The Mustangs' shot at an undefeated Conference USA season came to an end against East Carolina, but they bounced back to win at Memphis to maintain a two-game lead."

I, of course, am hoping they get sent to Newark, DE - 15 min. from my house.

12 is a great seed usually. 12 and 10 are the places to be to pull of an upset.

IMO, women’s appearance in NCAA tournament is more of an accomplishment than the Hawaii bowl.
In fact if they win the conference this might be the greatest SMU sports achievement in a decade.

More impressive than when they made the Tourney a few years ago? 2008?

No, I don't think so. That year UTEP was a top 25 team and we blew them out in the tournament championship.

Three times we've pulled first round upsets as the 10th seed.

Its true that this years team doesnt have a win of that caliber, but when you look at how far they have exceeded expectations (picked 8th in the conference, in preseason polls) this year has been really remarkable. With just 2 starters back from a team that was really dissapointing lat year, they've made a huge turnaround.

That's true. I don't think anyone knew how good Mays would be.

The coaches did.

I was thinking the same thing, a little over a year ago Rhonda was telling anyone who would listen about how good Keena was going to be. I took it with a small grain of salt, because I didnt want to get my hopes up too high, but she has been everything she was cracked up to be. The whole recruiting class has lived up to their billing, and they've meshed well with our returning players.

Right on all counts, DBE. Mays is an exceptional player, and makes those around her better. SMU is a team that is going to make higher seeds very nervous.

I really don't like a lot of focus on an individual player in a team sport, but Keena really has taken this team to another level.

Hopefully we will have a strong end to the regular season, a good conference tournament, and a chance in the NCAAs.

I am hoping for Storrs for similar reasons. I could take my little girl to her first BB game.
