SMU-UTEP game thread

The Curtis Culwell Center in Garland is a pretty nice facility for a high school gym. Pretty good lighting. Sounds (P.A., band, players' shoes squeaking on the floor) are a lot different than in Moody, but that's the case in every gym.
UTEP has a pretty good showing of fans, and vocal, but good showing of PonyFans who drove up for the game, too.
UTEP 9-6

UTEP center Cedrick Lang is listed at 6-9, 225. If he's 225 pounds, then Cannen Cunningham is no more than 180.
UTEP 17-10.
Nick Russell just got tackled — no call. UTEP's Konner Tucker got the "steal" and threw a lob for a dunk.

Getting no sound on all access, nor on the radio station over the internet!

Video board is great, although it's weird to look to the end of the court, rather than straight above it.
17-14 after Russell jumper.

I believe it is 17-12, UTEP. And the refs haven't changed. Obvious that the ball was last touched by UTEP, yet they get the ball.

And the hits just keep coming (literally). Manuel was clubbed in the head on his way to the rim — no call (although Williams was able to get the rebound and put-back).
22-16 UTEP

How Konner Tucker just drew a foul on Shawn Williams is mystifying

UTEP's Tucker called for blocking foul on Shawn Williams drive. Honestly, it could have been called either way. UTEP coach Tim Floyd is acting as if the officials just stole from his family.

Shawne Williams drawing a block on Konner Tucker was equally mystifying

UTEP players are pushing hard for the ugliest shoes award. Dark blue with sort of a shiny plastic orange. It looks like the Denver Broncos threw up on their feet.
