Memphis won 91-79 in double overtime. A Memphis guard hit an unguarded three with 1 second left while Southern Miss was letting them run out the clock. Classless

I think that game should get So Miss in the tourney, but ESPN still has them as one of the first four out...

Highest RPI ranking and only eligible top 50 RPI to miss.

BS that they brought in Boise State instead of So Miss with their record and they took Memphis two OTs in the CUSA final ..And total BS that Memphis was a 6 seed..they deserved a 4 or for sure a 5 seed.

I believe the problem was that last year So. NMiss got in and all the gurus said they were non deserving of the bid. Then So. Miss went out and got blown away in their first game and the gurus all said how right they were in that So. Miss should not have been considered.
Whether or not So. Miss deserved it this year, I do not believe the committee was going to play the same scenario all over again.

Good points mrydel as I had forgotten about So. Miss last year...I just was raging as the MWC got much more teams in and more credit than the CUSA, even though they I don't believe they deserve it yet, IMHO....... and Memphis never seems to get seeded as high as they maybe deserve. They just better make some noise this year and win some games.

the question is whether Memphis is overrated; we'll see pretty soon whether USM can advance deep into the NIT. They should handle Charleston Southern on their home court pretty easily

It will be interesting to see if Memphis makes it very far. When you play in a weak div like CUSA, you definitely arent tested very much or have to close out tight games.
