UT men's basketball not only didn't make the NCAAs, but got left out of the NIT, too.

They play Houston tomorrow night in the CBI tournament. I really wish that LB wanted to play in a postseason tournament because I would like a crack at beating UT

Not really an option as we have no arena to host home games

CBI is getting $35k for a home game this year. We need to get to the point where we can sell 3,000 tickets at $15 per before even considering buying our way into a home game in that tourney. With the new Moody and an improved product on the court, we should be ready by next season but let's hope we can be good enough for NIT

I know it's easy for people to tend to be negative about everything related to SMU athletics, but we did average close to 3500 this season and drew over 2400 for the Santa Clara CIT game a couple of years ago when the SMU basketball fan base was not even close to what it is now.

We could easily pay for a CBI/CIT game this year if we were wanted (and had an arena).

Obviously, we didn't have the record this year. But with a few of those close losses going the other way and if Moody wasn't under renovations I would like to think we would have done it without a second thought.

BTW, for all those who said our W-L record was not worthy of post-season play.

SMU's record 15-17

UT's record 16-17

Go Coogs!!!!
