Keith Frazier's signing will make this a Top 25 Class per Rivals.

http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/ ... ID=1435977

Obviously it will depend on who others sign, but take a look at the teams in the 21-24 range as compared to SMU. Arguably, according to Rivals, SMU's class would as good, and quite likely better, than any of these teams shown. Pretty awesome.

21. UCLA
2013 commits (National rank)
SG Zach LaVine (44)
SG Allerik Freeman (55)
SG Noah Allen (NR 3-star)

22. UNLV
PF Christian Wood (36)
SF Jelan Kendrick (JC 4-star)

23. California
SG Jabari Bird (23)
SG Jordan Mathews (88)
PG Sam Singer (NR)

24. Florida State
SG Xavier Rathan-Mayes (28)
PF Jarquez Smith (111)

SMU
SG Keith Frazier (22)
PF Yanick Moreira (JC 4-star)
SG Sterling Brown (133)
PF Ben Moore (NR 3-star)

When you factor in the quality of the transfers we have eligible next season, the talent level next year as compared to this past season is like night and day.

You're right, East Coast. I think two of the transfer will start (Moore and Kennedy). I've went back and forth on who will be the starters. We won't really know until they all get together but it is fun to speculate. I posted what I thought a while back but now I'm leaning to - Nic Moore at the point, Frazier at the 2, JJ at SF, Markus at PF and Yanick in the post. The greatest thing is how deep we will be. As you said night and day from last year.

Quick question because I'm on the go and too lazy to do the research, where do the other Texas schools rank on this list and soon to be conference opponents? Only the ones ranked higher than us.

MustangIcon, I think once Frazier is calculated into the rankings that SMU will blow past Florida State, Cal, and UNLV right into a top 25 spot. That high ranking will give SMU good recruiting publicity.

If you're right, 4 of our 5 returning leading scorers (Russell, Cunningham, Manuel, and Williams) wouldn't start. That's crazy, and indicative of the talent upgrade we're getting.

Also, what the hell is UTEP doing in recruiting? How are they getting 4 and 5 star guys from LA and Detroit??

It's very suspect. Tim Floyd is as dirty as the come. Ask USC and OJ Mayo.

The older brother of the guy from LA played for Floyd previously so he has known the family for years.

Thank you LA, feels so nice not to see Texas, A&M, or TCU ahead of us!

1. Virtually no admissions standards.
2. Easy access to Juarez "nightlife"

If you're American, there's no reason to go to Juarez for a night life anymore. That ended years ago.

In El Paso you can continue your gang membership and be close to your drug network.
