ajerseyguy.com is reporting that The Palestra in Philly is the favorite to land the first AAC tourney and may be a part of a rotation of sites. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Geno's and Jim's Philly Cheese Steaks. Soft pretzels with mustard. I believe our southern brothers and sisters could have a good time in Philly. Atlantic City gambling 1 hour away.

Great choice IMHO. Philly loves college bb and might draw some locals without direct ties to any of the schools.

Likely rotation with Philly and Memphis. How about Amercian Airlines Center too?

I like Philly. Great city to visit and a great basketball city. I wouldn't be mad at Memphis and New Orleans in the mix as well. And if they want to add a 4th, the AAC tourney at the AAC sounds good to me.

Just as long as we don't have to have a tournament in Tulsa again...

Correct, but the other schools are not.
Thankfully, Philly bb fans might show up for the other games because they love college BB.

Philly is perfect & the Palestra is a college hoops mecca. Love it, if true

Yup. Im sure he wouldn't complain.

Philly fans would probably come out to see LB coach in their city again, seeing as how he took the sixers to the NBA finals back in the day

If you have the chance to watch a game at the Palestra, especially a Big 5 game do it. I always wished all the colleges that play basketball even the non-D1 schools in the Metroplex would do something like the Big 5.

Philly is definitely a good spot and I agree about the DFW area schools doing something...if non-conference scheduling becomes a challenge in future years, I wonder how a Metroplex Mayors' Trophy tournament would do, featuring 1st round games of UNT vs SMU and UTA vs TCU with the losers playing the consolation game and winners playing for the trophy? Could play in on anyone's home court and if it takes, rotate venues and give everyone a chance to host?

I bet the AAC (American Airlines Center, I guess we have to clarify that now) would love to host that
