Found this today on a local blog. Not sure what to think since it doesn't mention any of our recruiting.

Wow, they put us ahead of Temple. Going to be a tough conference.

The guy's write up on the conference makes it sound like Memphis was in Big East and then we showed up last second - it was the opposite, and they are lucky to be in the conference at all.
Also - i know Houston is a strong team, but i am surprised they are ahead of Temple and SMU on this list, considering this guy is suppose to be paying attention to the personnel changes for next year.

Exactly what I thought.

In another really early prediction, ESPN posted a bracket for next year already. There are 4 AAC teams (Louisville, Cincy, UConn and Menphis) and then 5 other Old Big East (the '12-'13 version)

SMU will get no respect (and certainly deserves none based on our history) unless/until it is earned. Hopefully that will motivate coach Brown to stay until the job is finished and he can turn over a consistent winner to Jank, who undoubtedly will play a major role in our rebuilding (starting with hopefully having delivered a PG)
