K.T. Turner was in an enviable position, an assistant men's basketball coach on a team that enjoyed an unlikely ride to the Final Four of the 2013 NCAA basketball tournament. But when a vacancy on the SMU staff, Turner reached out to express his interest in the job. Turner sat down with PonyFans.com to discuss a number of topics, including why he wanted to make the move to the Hilltop, what he brings to the Mustangs' staff and his thoughts about coaching with SMU's Larry Brown.

You said that Daniels was very impressive but you said that Coach Turner came across as very impressive and hoped 86 was right. Well I think they both are legitimately very impressive and will do good jobs. No being sure about one and not being sure about the other here. They will both do well.
