Love this part

""I didn't realize at SMU you had to look at so many kids,'' Brown said. "But we got Frazier and Yanick and that gave us a whole different perception. Selfishly, I thought it would be quicker. But realistically, it was much harder than I thought.''

Quicker? It's only Year 2."

He figured out what it took to recruit at a high level, then committed the time and hired the assistants to make it happen.

WOW! That IS the most positive SMU article/blog of this century, and the fact that ESPN lead bball writer blogged it gives more weight.

We all knew our talent was going to be greatly improved but what Andy drives home is how invested and into this LB seems to be. Which I think surprised Andy and most anyone who's followed him closely in his career. I hope his son is on the 5 year plan.....

Also, LB said we got Frazier and he won't be our last big-time Dallas kid........Mudiay. We can hope.

Let's hope he decides to go to law school at SMU to make it 7+ years!

Since he's a performing arts major, I find it unlikely, but one can always dream :)

Yeah, it is a football town but exciting basketball can fill Moody, and there are a lot fewer seats than a football stadium.

Can't wait.

Awesome. All I remember hearing out of him last year is how bad we'd be

I was a performing arts student and I went to law school. I'd be happy to map it out for Larry's kid. I also took In grad school in music (which is when I came to SMU) so I spent 9 years in college.... Larry could really make a name for himself in a decade!
