Ok, so here is what I know:

1. He was once rumored to be a package deal with Mudiay
- I don't think that means anything because things change, and these are just kids

2. He cut SMU from his list of top 8
- Not a good sign. I think there was reasoning there to why he did that. Going back on that would a big psychological change.

3. It has been reported that he will now re-consider SMU
- I am sure Mudiay is wanting to convice him, but I am not sure that will be enough. For him to feel good about his decision, he would need to make the decision himself.


In summary, I think the door is open on this kid, but it would take alot of work. If Mudiay tries to convince him too hard, he might get turned off to all that pressure. I think he would need to come, on his own, and actually really enjoy his 'official visit', which he has not confirmed that he is even taking one.

I fear the Big12 will impload, flooding the market with a lot of viable options for other conference's expantion...

If the Big 12 implodes (and somehow survives) we might get in but it wouldn't be a P5 conference anymore. None of the other conferences are even remotely viable options for SMU in any way. We simply waited too late to start giving a damn.
