It may not last long since we only have one more scholarship to give. So let's celebrate while we can. :D

If we get Turner we're staying in the Top 25.

we will give three out this year, betting wisely that there will be attrition in at least one spot.

Like smufrat said earlier, I think we need to temper our expectations with turner a little. We didn't make his top 8 as a local kid, so clearly he has some issues with us in one way or another. I know Mudiay and him are buddies and I think that means we have some chance, but I'm afraid it might just be out of respect for his buddy that he's talking to us again. I think we will definitely get the chance to make our case though, I'm just tempering my expectations and I think so as not to act like Kentucky fans, we should too 8)

He may want to go to a national championship contender, well, along with Mudiay, Larry Brown as coach, and the rest or the roster, he could be joining one.

So we go from 1 conference tourney win in the history of cusa to national championship contender in 2 years? The talent seems there to make a good run, it is just funny to think about.

I must have missed that 1 conference tourney win. I didn't think we had ever won 1.

We definitely have not won a tourney game since I started at SMU in 2006.

Unless you count the CollegeInsider.com tournament in 2011 (I know many of you won't) but any postseason opportunity is a postseason to me. SMU won 3 straight games (the first 2 at Moody) and lost to eventual champ Santa Clara in a semi-final. Yes - Final 4! Again, not that anyone remembers.

The reference was specifically to conference tournament games.

Also, I assume Harry started at SMU in the Fall of 2006, so he is correct that we have not won a conference tournament game since he got here. We did win one in 2006 though:

We won 1 under Jimmy Tubbs, in 2006 as has been mentioned.
