The Mob

Just talked to the basketball team, they and helpers are at the flag pole. They are promoting a group called "The Mob" which is a student group you pay $49 and get guranteed seating in the student sections (Both baselines and corners and one sideline) They said that if you don't join there may not be enough room for students to get in. Said seating is still free for students but you have to pick up tickets ahead of time and "The Mob" gurantees you get a seat. I asked if they really think we are going to sell out Moody and itll be that hard to get in. Guy told me they think the demand is there and hope it will be a sell out most games. Cool program.

Its not a bad deal. Automatic TCU tickets. Probable 2 or 3 free t's. So you are paying like 10 bucks for good seats for Louisville, Memphis, ect.

I like the name. That's awesome. SMU could really use some rowdy hyped up kids. I hope the student section really does become an annoying angry mob that frustrates all the teams that come to Moody.

That being said, I think the only ones that will be real hard to get tickets for would be UConn, Memphis and Louisville. $49 sounds more than worth it for those games alone.

Great idea. I like the fact that the players are promoting themselves. I love "The Mob" name and hopefully it will catch on.

This is great. We need our students to be as rowdy as possible. Giving them a name is even better. "No visiting team in the country wants to come into Moody and face the mob" -Brent Musberger from the future

Does MOB stand for anything? If not, it's still a cool name and idea

This is so great! The Godfather and his Mob. Can't go wrong with that. It will work. It has to be better than what was going on in the student section last year. 99% of the games last year, the student section acted like it was attending some sort of class lecture instead of a game. The few that dared to show some fan support were escorted out. Unbelievable! Love this!! #theGodfather #theMob #shocktheword

Isn't that the nickname of the Rice band? Glad we do not play Rice anymore and are playing teams like Temple ans UConn in hoops.

Glad they selected The Mob instead of The Mafia. LOL. I like one syllable words instead of multiple syllable words.

If Temple goes on a run that could be a tough ticket as well.
