At the game, Jalen doesn't appear to be on the bench. Anyone know the story?

Saw a tweet from Scout reporter that said LB hinted that there was a dispute over playing time.

If you like BB, they have very good coverage. Worth the price.

Coach Brown wouldn't say it outright, but strongly implied that Jalen Jones didn't play for #SMU because of a dispute over playing time

I guess he is gone, in the long run his minutes probably will not be missed, but I think more importantly he was a very solid Dallas recruit that will ultimately leave the program, a bit of a speed bump with us wanting to open up a free DISD pipeline.

I wish he would have chilled, we could have used him multiple times in this game. Who knows though, maybe he knows best, he could transfer somewhere else and ultimately have a better college career.

I look at Cannen Cunningham, he knew he was sure to get less playing time, but he stuck with it, got substantial minutes in the game tonight and actually looked better than our JC transfer.

I hope Jalen reconsiders and comes back, but I doubt it.

Just got back from the game. . . Was wondering where Jalen was? Wasn't on the bench. . . On a side note, and setting in sec 106. . . Emmanuel Mudiay was setting 5 rows down from me on the next section to the right, and 2015 SMU prospect Elijah Thomas was sitting in the seat right behind me for the Bama-OU game, and part of the SMU-TCU game. . . Effin sweet

Exactly, I almost wonder if anything else was going on. You know if he was there on the bench he would have gotten substantial minutes in this foul fest. He could have brought some stability to the lineup when we needed it most.

Yeah, it was pretty obvious he wasn't around.

Sad to think we were hoping it was an injury or an eligibility issue. I would hate to think he quit the team. He was one of my favorites...

Mic Moore had the most minutes, but outside of him, the next 3 guys with the most PT were at returners. There's no way he wouldn't have seen a good chunk of minutes. I don't get it.

With talk that Manuel had a really good camp, I wonder if Brown planned to start Manuel at the three and Jones threw a fit about it. My guess would be that this happened in the last day and will be resolved pretty quickly. Brown had to do something before it got out of control.

He is absolutely one of the best players on this team, even with the added talent. Hope this is just a quick fix thing, but fear it is not.
