SMU B-Ball Fans: The PledgeI have been talking with a few of my SMU buddies and we have all signed [in blood] that when SMU makes the NCAA Tournament, we are going to everyone of the games [no matter the distance or cost].
I urge you fellow PonyFans to take the Pledge. I, state your name, pledge to venture to the ends of the Earth to see our beloved SMU Mustangs play in the NCAA Tournament, whenever that may be. Signed in Blood, Harry0569 "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The PledgeFirst Round Games This Year:

Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The PledgePonyPride,
Is there anyway we can sticky this thread, so that it is more visible? Thanks, Harry0569 "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The PledgeI'm in - no matter where I have to go. I've waited for almost 20 years, since I was a frosh at SMU.
FYI - My folks lived in Palo Alto CA so I actually got to see us play Stanford in a pre-season NIT game back in the late 90's. Sasser and his band-aid threw up so many contested 3 pointers, we had no shot. Mark Madsen ate our lunch that game. But nothing would compare to NCAA tourney,
Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The PledgeI love it! Done and done
SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The PledgeI'll be there Harry. Please San Antonio.... haha
Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The PledgeThis is a standing pledge that me and a few other guys have as it relates to NCAA tourney and bowl games (in the lower 48). So, I'm in with 2 others for sure.
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.
Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The PledgeGreat idea - and I am in.
im thinking about trying to go to Louisville (last chance) and maybe get a NY trip in for Conn - if I can get a ticket behind our bench so I don't have to be around the unwashed other fans. Temple would be fun also in Phily - but cold. in a more realistic vein - how about starting a movement to get a big crowd in Houston? Jan 26th - Sunday - 2:00? can we get 2k down there? Lets start marketing that and making a big alumni deal out of it.
Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The Pledge
Good idea. I've been thinking of the UH game as well. Easy drive. I would also like to go to the Corpus games
Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The PledgeSuppose it is the NIT this year? Does the pledge stand in that situation? Also is it just for this year?

Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The Pledge
We just made it for the NCAA, but if go to the NIT and make it to MSG, we are going. Not this year, any year. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The PledgeCount me in definitely. (I also pledged for bowl games, but last year for me was a disaster with inlaws, etc). Ain't going to happen again.
Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The PledgeF yes.
I pledged to go to the first bowl SMU made since I became a fan, and I did (Hawaii). There's a 0% chance I would miss this. Dallas Mavericks - 2011 NBA CHAMPIONS!
Long live the Circle of Champions!
Re: SMU B-Ball Fans: The Pledge
Dude, Buffalo would be one of the best sites. First Niagra would be a great place, I hope the Bucks end up there. Got a ton of cool bars, Buffalo is a great city, great microbrewery right down the street, just hop on the public transport back to the Niagra when it's game time. Outside of distance, that would be a better site imo. A bad site would be like Spokane. But Buffalo is a great sports city if you've never been. Biggest negative by far is it'll still be cold as fudge there
