I saw a picture on Twitter last night of the basketball team getting off a private jet in Fayetteville. Do they usually travel like that and is that the norm for D1 basketball teams? I would think most would fly commercial.

i know we have some sort of partnership with a private jet co....and I think it depends on pricing...I'm sure commerical flights to certain places aren't available or are crazy expensive for 20+ tickets. much easier to work some sort of discount with a private airline

Some schools use have alums private jets and that is probably the case with us. I imagine they fly commercial mostly when the private jet is not available.

Most big schools have their own planes. Actually I'm unaware of any big schools that don't now that I really think about it.

Could be mistaken. But, I think that was part of the deal to get Larry Brown to SMU

I think the private jet arrangement was for recruiting but may have extended to other flights. definitely needed for recruiting to see several kids at different locations in a day
