for the third game in a row Ben Moore has ignited the SMU offense AND defense. He reminds me so much of Sam Perkins. Not the superstar presence but cool, calm, consistent in all phases of the game. This guy is the real deal. One of the few Mustangs that handled the stage well tonite. Even when he makes a freshman mistake he'll remain calm and watch he'll make a play within a few moments. I 'm not sure we can keep him out of the starting lineup very long but wow what a great 6th man right now

19 Pts, 5 Reb, 1 Stl, 2 Blk

he and Nic are heads and tails above right now. If we can get Keith back in the loop and let at least one of our bigs get pissed we might have something.

Yep Stallion.
Coach Brown said in Presser last week that, "I don't think Ben knows how good he really is".

Ben has been great. You can't teach how instinctive he is, and he handles really well. He's tenacious on the glass as well. Couldn't be happier w/his play. Moreira has been good too, Kennedy a disappointment so far

We need a youth movement on this team. Bench Kennedy, Manuel, and Shawn Williams (I like him but he's a solid backup, not starter). Start B. Moore and Frazier (I know we've only seen him play in 2 games, but I think you put him on the floor early and often and let him mature/grow from there). We are one pure shooter and one big away from being a rock solid team. Add Mudiay to that and it gets real good real quick. But I think we're all going to have to temper our expectations THIS year.

Plus his hairstyle reminds me of my halcyon days of undergrad in the early 90s

Ha, I never won't love high fades and early 90s hip hop

When the team first started practicing, I asked someone, I believe it was Hoopmanx, how the news guys looked and he replied that the coaches were the most impressed with Ben Moore. They loved his work ethic, his ability and knowledge of the game. We are all seeing that now. Kid is a baller. Easily the most under the radar signing by this staff so far.

The godfather won't be able to hold him out of the line up if he keeps playing this way. Wow, as I said in the other thread, Keith Frazier was sucking up all the oxygen of the class, but Moore is making a bigger on court impact right now. The guy is fun to watch.

Ben was a 3-star with offers from Missouri, Illinois, DePaul, Minnesota, Colo St. And Bradley to name a few. 16 offers total. When this is your lowest rated recruit in the class, that's an unbelievably great class. It's amazing how far this program has come in less than two years. Hopefully we get KF back at 100% with these next few games and get ready for VA. Great times ahead.

When you look at it from an offers standpoint, not rankings, he was a bigger pull than Frazier.
