Talented Houston soph Danuel House out after knee surgery

Houston has shown some promise the past couple of seasons, winning 20 games a year ago and starting this season with a 6-2 record.

The Cougars got some bad news on Monday afternoon, though: sophomore swingman Danuel House is out indefinitely after suffering a knee injury.

House underwent arthroscopic surgery on Monday afternoon and will begin the rehabilitation process.

According to the school, he is expected to return this season.

House, a 6-foot-7 possible NBA prospect, is averaging 15.6 points and 5.7 rebounds this season.

this is bad for the AAC; we need every team at full strength

Houston vs a$m tomorrow. I think I want a$m cause we get the chance to bury htown by ourselves

Sucks, but makes 2 conference wins more viable.

Per Houston fans, he will be back in 1-1.5 months

Glad the Coogs got whipped by A&M last night. I think it was the first time in my life I've cheered for the Aggies! LOL

It is better for SMU for their conference mates to win their non-conference games.

Not if you sweep Houston and beat a$m head to head.

dislike for UH > love of AAC

SMU taking care of business is all I'm concerned about.

In a word, yes. You always want your conference to win the OOC. Gives you more "quality wins" assuming you take care of your business against them. Any good team wants their conference to have a solid RPI. SMU I believe falls into this category as hard as that might be to fathom after the last couple decades of SMU basketball.

From an RPI perspective this is not right. RPI factors in your record, your opponents' record and your opponents' opponents' record. UH will be 2 games on smu's opponents record and 2 games on every single conference opponents' opponents' records. Definitely benefits SMU more for any AAC team to win an OOC game, even over a team SMU also plays.

Since both teams are on SMU's schedule whichever the highest rated team that can help SMU's rating is the team I would like to win.
