They are only 3-4 on the year but they have an impressive win over San Diego. We should have a big size advantage as their tallest rotation player is only 6'8". They shoot a lot of threes, averaging 18 attempts per game making 37%. Both of their leading scorers are guards. One a Purdue transfer Kelsey Barlow (15.5 PPG) and Dallas native Marc Brown (Woodrow Wilson - 14.4 PPG). They also have a bench player from Plano, Pat Birt (Plano East - 5.5 PPG).

As for attendance, they've averaged almost 4,000 in the first four games but 5,600 in their last game against Chicago rival Northwestern. I'm guessing they will have a pretty nice crowd with Larry Brown and a good SMU team coming to town.

I hope the guys don't take this one lightly. It could be a tough game.

I think you are confusing USD for SDSU. USD (University of San Diego) isn't very good and haven't had a winning record since 2008 and have so far played an amazingly cupcake schedule. They'll be lucky to finish in the top half of the WCC this year.
SDSU (San Diego State) is currently ranked number #24 and has become a consistent tourney team under Steve Fisher. Just an FYI from someone who lives in San Diego

That being said, I don't think we have the luxury of taking anyone lightly and I hope we beat UIC's butt, especially for the Chicago kids on our team.

They are 3-4 with wins over San Diego and 2 schools I've never heard of. They got annihilated Mcneese St like by La Tech and Northwestern. We will be just fine

I'm aware who they are and I'm not confusing them with SDSU. SDSU is a legit top 25 team. I watched the Marquette game. SD plays in the WCC which is a very good mid major conference (Zags, St. Mary's and Pepperdine). They are 7-2 this year with their losses being to UIC and a close game @ New Mexico. FWIW, SD beat SMU the last time we played 2003 and they went to the NCAA tourney in 2008, fifteen years since the last time we went. They're not world beaters but they are one of those pesky WCC programs who play tough. It was a good win for UIC.
