Larry Brown on Ticket this Morning

I thought someone would have mentioned it-but Rich Phillips and Geirge Dunham had Larry Brown on for about 5-6 minutes this morning. They covered the usual ground but Larry just has so much more Love to hand out to David Miller, the PRESIDENT of our university, the new facility and the campus. All topics were about the exciting things going on in the program from the unbelievable facilities, to nationally competitive recruiting and to success on the Court. Most important news is that he loves this job and without prompt he makes clear he wants to stay here for a long time. He ain't going anywhere soon. This weas a great, positive interview for the perception of the SMU program

When it comes to marketing, he is the anti-June.

I agree he is a great supporter of the university. SMU truly is a wonderful place, and it is becoming an extremely welcoming enviroment for basketball.

Is Larry going to stay long? I think once we have 'made it' and he would leave for a new challenge or life change. If he stays too long, Jank would leave - why would he stay assistant for over 5 years? I don't want to lose him, in fear of an unfavorable transition when Larry does leave.

LB did emphasize he wants to be where fans turn up to watch US and not our competitors. Hopefully not a shot at our attendance.

Sounds like he just wants to be the team worth watching. Which is understandable. He wants the Mustangs to be the most interesting team on the court.

I honestly think when we open Moody it is going to reenergize LB and staff. Not that they are not energized now but I believe it will give them that extra motivation and validation that their efforts are appreciated. I can't wait to see what it will be like the night of 1/4/14. We've all been in Moody when it is half full and the atmosphere is great, I can only imagine what it will be like sold out against a national power. It's going to be awesome.

I thought about that last night as I was watching the McNeese replay. He and the rest of the team are going to get a nice present on 1/4. Proud that they're hanging in there right now

I hear you Blackoutpony. I'm just saying it seems like others are constantly blaming RGT. At least someone is acknowledging that he trying to do something to help. I am not saying that everything RGT does is right.

I agree. I just hope we have a good number of student from the Dallas area make it to the game . Let's hope the MOB organizes this. I'd be great to have 200-300 students make it.
