Very early bracketology

I know it's early and these are meaningless but it's fun to be in the discussion. We're in the next four out along with Cincinnati. They only have 3 AAC teams in which would be a disappointment.

Eh, not concerned, only three good teams in the conference this year. Cinci is a tourney-type team as is SMU, rest of the conference is pretty bad. The top half of the conference is good and good enough to make the tourney, but there's really only 3 lock-types. Funny thing is, if SMU beat UVA, they'd be in the tourney on Lunardi's projection. So they're right there, need to open with a win at UC, hopefully pull off a big one against UConn at home, then they're sitting pretty the rest of the year. At that point, they'd have to play themselves out of the tourney with bad conference losses pretty much.

I agree. I noticed he has both UVA and Arkansas in the field.

I know. Really sucks in retrospect. But all you can do now is finish up this OOC slate strong, turn the page and kick the [deleted] out of UC on their home floor. I might have to go down for that game.

Flights to Cincy are stupid expensive for 1/1 otherwise I would make a road trip. It's really surreal to see SMU on any type of bracket predictions this early.

EDIT: just checked and RT is $384, down from over 500....hmmmm

I was actually at the Wyoming game against OSU, wasn't impressed at all. Undersized and unathletic. Should be a route, being at Wyoming will make it a bit closer but I think the Ponies will overwhelm them.

And Music, if you're serious about flying in, try flying to Dayton. The cinci airport is a half hour south in Kentucky anyways, so it's about the same distance from Dayton (45 mins). If you need help or recs, let me know. But Dayton should be cheaper to fly in.

Cool, thanks. I would love to make the trip. Trying to convince one other PonyFan, but I may just make it my Xmas present to myself.

Let me know, if there's a few guys on here that make the trip, I'll definitely grab the first couple rounds. Be a little cold though, forewarning. I'm actually going to be getting back from Florida for a bowl game right before, be back for a few days then heading back down for the Orange Bowl ha.

Yeah, gonna be a little hectic. I couldn't turn down the ticket for the Orange bowl though and the other bowl I'm traveling with the team, so should be cool experiences. Gonna miss a ton of work though, boss wasn't too excited about that but he knows where I'm coming from. I figure why not try to get down to Cinci in between to watch the Ponies. Could be a little bit before I'm down to Moody anyways and I really want to catch them live. TV just isn't the same, plus Cinci usually brings it from a fan base perspective. I am thinking that game lines up quite well though, will be xmas break for the college and I doubt many Cinci people have any idea who SMU is or how good they are lol

Yeah, hope we catch them (and many others) off guard.

It's all about what we do in conference for the most part.
