For the first time ever, STH's might be able to sell tickets at a profit.

When he says less than 30 season tickets remain, what does that mean? Does that mean that we set aside, say, 5,000 season tickets in total, and between the "Moody 6 game package" and true 2013-2014 season ticket package, we have sold 4,970 out of 5,000?

Yes exactly. They hold back some tickets...for season tickets.
And I guarantee the UConn game isn't "sold out." There are tickets also being held back for that as well, very common practice. But everything they were offering at the moment is gone for single games, therefore you must buy the season package.

You have to wonder how many mini season packs they have left

I would think mini's are gone. Most schools stop those once games start and only full seasons are available. The turn the mini's into single game tickets...
So I really doubt there are any left or any being sold and your only option is season tickets at this point.

I think those are just 30 single game tickets not mini packages.

There were about 30 seats marked for sale yesterday for season tix. I assume that is what he means.

This is for the UConn game only not season tickets I believe because yesterday he tweeted that there were 100 tickets left. They have more than 100 season tickets left to sell.

100 tickets left for @SMUBasketball vs. UCONN on 1/4. Special $30 ticket includes t-shirt, hotdog & drink. #PonyUp pic.twitter.com/fHhFD4wGtj

In football, they have 20,000+ tickets left to sell.

I have a friend who was in charge of large sporting events. Basically, no game is ever really a true "sellout." Smart promoters always hold back some seats for their own use. Those seats can be used for VIPs, sponsors, or internal rewards.
Since Moody's seating is all new, I would bet money that they held back 25-50 seats to allow them to move STH's unhappy with their "new" seat locations.
