Does anyone know when the last sellout at Moody happened?

While I remember a few big crowds for Arkansas in the late 80's, I cannot recall anything close to a sellout post sWc.

There were sell outs in the WAC days. Fresno? Utah? TCU against Nailon?

Probably tech was the last one.

I saw a special on Herron last year. While we had a big (and loud crowd), there were plenty of empty seats.

Not a sell out against Tech in 2001 unless they reduced capacity at Moody (8998 listed and I recall capacity was over 9,000).

Last sell out was either Tulsa in 2000 (when Willie Davis dribbled off his foot 2 OT game), Arkansas (in Shumate's final season) or Rice in 1993 (to win our last SWC Championship).

It has been a long, long time.

haha, now that was funny! alas, I was very frat-tastic at that time in my life.

Found this article about that game: http://www.maryellenmark.com/text/magaz ... 0-015.html

"In early January, the team's record was a dismal 6‑7 when Herren hit his post‑rehab stride against Southern Methodist University in a nationally televised game in Dallas.

"Alcoholic! Druggy! Rehab!" the frat yahoos screamed during pre‑game warm‑ups. "White trash!" they taunted.

The SMU fans would have been better served had they left Chris Herren alone. In the first half, Herren scored sixteen points on slashes to the basket and NBA‑range three‑pointers. "Herren is sooo difficult to stop," the ESPN commentator gushed. "He shoots the three, and if you come up on him, he goes right past you."

8998 has been the stated capacity for a while.

8998 has been the stated capacity since 95-96. It was 9,007 before that and I believe 10,000 when first opened

That would be my guess. While well attended, I don't believe the games mentioned above were sellouts. When I was in school the last UT game was close but it was 75% UT fans and the Utah game with Keith Van Horn was close. Of course I had much more important things on my mind rather than worrying about attendance.
