So let's take it one game at a time and put in the work. The grind starts.

Not many bottom feeders especially when Houston gets House back in mid January. But yes, we must not look past anyone and take one game at a time.

This is what I'm thinking. This is a winnable game, and would be a huge boost to our publicity in the national conversation. Let's do it!

I think the UConn is winnable as well. They don't have much inside. If Yanick and Markus play well, we've got a good chance. Hopefully we see a nice home court advantage too.

UConn hits 3's and SMU hits 3's from the inside who do you think wins? I don't know where we are getting this idea the UConn isn't that good. I know some thought we were going to beat TCU by 30 and that was far from the case. UConn beat a powerful Florida team that has an inside game. We better have all phases working (inside and out) when we play UConn.

Never said they aren't good, they are UConn. I've seen them play several times this year and they aren't very strong inside though. If their guards are shooting well, yes they are very tough to beat. Napier, Boatright and Calhoun take a majority of their shots and they are all guards. Daniels is their only non-guard who shoots a lot but he also has a perimeter game. They shoot twenty 3s a game at a 44% clip. We are going to have to close on the 3. I still think Yanick and Markus can handle their bigs.

My biggest concern is we are going to have to take care of the ball much better. Cincinnati, UConn, Louisville and Memphis will steal lazy passes and will eat our lunch if we are sloppy with the ball.

I have a feeling that the Cinci game is going to be one of those tight, defensive games that will be won by whichever team can make a run toward the end of the game. Of course, I thought we would beat them in football also. Either way, it is going to be fun being at 5/3 arena for two games on New Years day.

When does the team start practicing again after Christmas?
