Right, Cincinnati schedule is nothing new. We have only played 3 away games one of which was to get the Chicago kids back home at UIC.
Oh, ok, I didn't realize it was that common in OOC play. Hopefully, our guys are rested up and ready to play with fire. Moody should be electric after coming in with a win at Cincy to play UConn on a national stage (after all, anything could happen . . . although I don't expect us win either game . . . Cincy would be tough on the road and UConn is an elite team - we are close, but not quite there yet . . . I hope they prove me wrong).
It's more common for the established programs or teams that are good. Makes sense in a way, other teams are knocking at your door to play you. Next year, teams will be begging Larry to schedule a game with SMU and he'll make them come to Moody. A few teams play home and homes but it's not quite like football. For example, MSU and Texas did a home and home OOC. OSU/Kansas did a home and home a year ago. UK/Louisville obviously. But these are all teams that are "established" powers and can demand a big team travel to their place and the other will pay the visit back the following year. For small programs like Wyoming, they often spend their OOC on the road basically because they can't demand that a team come to their place.
I think this will really be evident with SMU next year.
