Did anyone see Myles Turner's hightlight jam on the news last night? His team lost by two but it was a monster jam. #shocktheworld. Let's do it. :P

Just fyi, I know someone trading texts with his dad, it's pretty much Ohio State, Ok State, or Texas at this point. Literally no chance for SMU unfortunately. Now I'm just hoping it's Ohio State if it's not SMU. He's been trying to get a visit with Oklahoma State set up for a while though and it still hasn't happened so we'll see. I think Ohio State is where he wants to be, but distance is a factor right now.

Yeah sorry for the crap news. I think Ok St could sneak in and steal this one though. He really emphasizes visiting there and it's a viable option that allows him to still stay close to home. So every week that passes that he doesn't visit there works in Ohio State's favor. I think Texas is running third from the sound of it. Who knows, I guess Brown could put in major work down the stretch but it's shaping up as a 3-way battle.

I don't know what's on this kid's mind. I bet he ends up at Texas. This is going to sound bad, but quite frankly, I don't think he's as good as hyped. He's super long and has a shot which kills it on the HS level but I think his lack of mobility (he just seems extremely stiff to me with whobbly knees) will get him exposed at the next level. Don't get me wrong - he's an elite recruit and it would be awesome to get him but I'm not going to cry if we don't. I was watching some Baptiste highlights and, although raw, dude is already built like an NBA player and with the kind of coaching he'd get with LB and staff, he could become an elite player. I like him, too.

He's been off the map for smu for a long time, just no one wanted to admit it.

That's ok. Surely we didn't really want him anyway, as above.

The only reason to have a glimmer is that his dad said they wanted to see a few games at Moody. Based on our attendance the last several years, I would not want to play there but if we can pack the house and bring some noise he might possibly reconsider. Does not sound like it but you never know until it is over.

The WDNWHA Committee has not ruled on him yet so that means there is always a chance.

I agree. The one game I saw of him that was on TV he didnt look very mobile. It looked like it hurt for him to run the floor.

Just to let you both know, there are no upcoming openings on the WDNWHA Committee. But these resumes are very good.

Did he not go to Ok State on 12/6 as his 247 profile suggests?

I still have a hard time believing that KU is out of this until Embiid has declared. Since several draft boards are moving JoJo up to #1 in the draft, me thinks there will be an opening for an agile big man next year in Lawrence.

I've been leaning Texas for awhile, but I don't think we're completely out of it, either. Some of the most influential local aau types believe we have a punchers chance, so I'm with them.

I'm with you, among the three listed above, UT would be my bet. Daddy loves him some UT.

I'm just telling you what I hear in the inner-circles. For one, a kid doesn't change his mind often because of the atmosphere, it's much more than that. Quality of relationships with coaches, relationships with players, proximity to home, campus life, playing time, ect. And relationships usually are the #1 with a basketball recruit especially.

As for Texas, certainly they are in the mix, but his actions continue to say that Oklahoma State is running 2nd in the race to Ohio State. If he gets to Oklahoma State and it goes well, it could be a great compromise of being able to stay close to home while also being able to play at a top-notch basketball program. What I'm very confident of is that if Ohio State was in Texas, he'd already be committed and we wouldn't be talking about this. He made multiple visits on his own dime and has a great relationship with Matta's staff. With a kid that doesn't talk much, actions speak louder than words more often than not and virtually everyone that really knows the situation that I talk to believes Ohio State is firmly in the top 2. I know Thad Matta's staff feels like they're in a good position as well from guys I've talked to in the WHAC.

I don't know where this one will ultimately go, I think if Ok. State gets that visit, it's going to be a tough pull to OSU. I really think Texas is running a distant third, no signs are pointing him in that direction at the moment. I'll talk to a few that are really in the "know" and see where he's at right now. I know that he was scheduled to go to Okie St over winter break but had holiday tourneys pushing that back, now he won't likely get a visit in until later winter/spring.

Two things I don't listen to in hoops circles, boosters even elite level donors, and staff. Both are victims of recruit propaganda more often thn not. I just know enough people round turner and his small nucleus to say we're not out of it. I know the pokes and Texas are right there, and he certainly likes osu. That said, I also know its not his choice and never will be, no matter how much he likes one school over another
