I'm a little surprised they are that big a favorite. #shocktheworld

They beat a good Pitt team and NC State. I am not saying we can't beat them but we haven't had the signature wins that they have had.

seems too wide to me also, but Pitt doesn't seem that good to me. home court is worth 5 pts so maybe not that surprising. Would be great to grab this win - since the next two look daunting.

Pitt has only lost 1 game and Pitt beat Stanford by 21. Have you seen Pitt play by chance? Just asking. Also, NC State beat Tennessee and Tennessee beat Virginia by 35.

was thinking PITT had dropped a few but you are right - that record looks strong.

Use Vegas Insider.com, it's got all the major sports books if you're looking at a line to bet it. Right now, the vast majority of the books have Cinci favored at -6.5, probably went down from earlier from what I can tell. But that's where the line is now.

I don't see us winning this one but I hope we keep it tight.

Need it badly. Obviously we're underdogs, but upsets happen all the time and this one is huge. Gotta get 2 of the 4 to open conference play. Whether it comes from UConn, Louisville, or Cinci, can't start 1-3 in conference play to be in the Big Dance.

Not sure why. Cincinnati struggles nightly to score to ball. I believe we're just as talented. I just hope we are ready for the stage.

True that but we HAVE to hold court....home wins are key....away games will be tough.

I see it as about even. Could you explain the reason you don't see us having a chance to win? Do you think they have a better offense or defense?

Because we are SMU. I will need this team to prove me WRONG until I get on the bandwagon full bore. Don't get me wrong, I will watch and root as always. But I don't think we are as good as we think we are. I will be ectastic with an NIT bid this year.

I agree that some have jumped to unrealistic expectations. UNT' and Tennessee's thrashings of A$M and Virginia should help put things in perspective. We beat a bunch of "not very good" teams in the non-conference and lost to a couple of decent teams that are likely to be fighting all year long for that NCAA "bubble". I think a NIT invite is a more realistic expectation for this SMU team but an upset win today at Cincy would be a huge confidence builder for these guys.
