Everyone Contributed

I thought it was really great that up and down our lineup every player made a definite tangible contribution to this victory. Seriously, they all contributed and some of the goats really played well. Need to get Moreria back in the groove. Big team effort, another suffocating defensive game, limited the turnovers and we beat them bad on the boards too. I think we wear teams down with our depth-and today the depth handled the Big Spotlite-that is a great sign

Not sure what is going on Moreira and Ben Moore. Both just need to be on the floor. KF is getting there. He can be so explosive and the crowd feeds off of his production.

btw, Shawn Williams needs to get some props. He's been getting hammered pretty [deleted] here but he was very efficient today. Had a couple crafty finishes with his lil left hand hook.

Russell had a big game. For all the criticism he has gotten, he deserves big praise today. Key shots, great D, and nice assists.

TEAM Defense-held UCONN to 38% after holding Cincy to 36% plus we pounded them on the boards by 9. That's how this team wins

Russell was huge in the second half, definitely stepped up. As someone else said, all three freshman were solid. and Kennedy hit some important free throws.

i have been tough on Williams and Russell - and they both played very solid today, particularly on D. When you hold these guards to that kind of shooting percentage, something is working right. D is nothing but hard work - so hope these guys are getting proud of their hard work paying off.

even Manual had a great drive for a layup that really got the crowd into it. 2 Rebounds and No Turnovers

The poor free pitch shooting is going to catch up with us at some point. About the only negative in the box score today though.

Our opponents FG% has just been ridiculous this season (good ridiculous of course).

Russell DID have a great 2nd half and Larry Brown after the game said he chewed on Russell to score more in the 2nd half.

65.4% Free Throws-room for improvement but not horrible

Limiting The best UCONN player - Napier - to single digit scoring and not allowing him to take over the game in the 2nd half was the most impressive thing for me.

How many games in the past were we close, 5 minutes left in the game, and the other team runs plays through their scorer and we get smoked.

Not this time, we doubled Napier and shut him off from slashing. Great defensive effort.

BTW: KF showed movement and drives to the rim that are - hopefully - a sign of things to come. People couldn't lay off him waiting for him to shoot a 3. Had to respect the move to the hoop.
