Ch 4 Max Morgan just did a really nice report-covering both the new features AND the game. Some really nice corner shots towards the suites and crowds that really highlited the renovated arena. I give the report an A.

Hopefully they will reshow it on the later newscast

I don't think I am going overboard here by saying its in the top ten in the country as a facility. Whether it is a top ten place to play is really up to us and our students.

Moody is a wonderful venue and more importantly the in game experience is awesome. The music, the halftime entertainment, the lights... It is all very well done.

Now, we as fans have to dedicate ourselves to attending the games and giving support.

Guys this sort or atmosphere and team that we have been dreaming of ..... Now we have to do our part and show up and cheer.

Wish I could see it, but there are some real gems out there. Notre Dame is one of the nicest arenas I've ever been in for any level of sports. Purcell still sucks and they just renovated it. Know what I mean? Those arenas are a dime a dozen. What the teams and the fans do is what makes the arena special which is what you alluded to. But without seeing it, I can't give you 10 better for sure but I would bet there are quite a few on that level. Hell, University of Toledo's Savage Hall is nice as hell. It's still Toledo and meh. lol. Hopefully that place rocks from here on out though, I think some underestimate how special this year could really be with a few more wins.

I've been to Purcell post-renovation. Moody is every bit as nice as Purcell and in some ways nicer. Also pulled up pics of Savage Hall online and it doesn't look like it compares to Moody at all

Love the "new Moody." Do have to admit to missing the "coffee pot" urinals though

I thought the lights were not set right. On TV there were deep shadows coming off the players toward the non-bench side of the arena. Lights need adjustment unless you enjoy watching shadows..

I liked the timeout activities. The "get to meet the players" segment was cool. Asking the guys what is on their iPod. The timeout games were quick but entertaining and the halftime dogs were great. The whole game presentation was very well done. Soooo much better than a bunch of little 5 year olds running around doing something. The only complaint was the clock and score not being on the scoreboard but someone posted that was a tech glitch so I'm sure it will be resolved. An A all around. SMU did us proud.

Being as high up as I was, the sound did not seem so loud to me since it was all directed below me. I am going to watch the replay and hear how it was on TV. I am sure as the sound funneled down to the bottom of the arena it was much louder than what I heard. I am delighted to hear it came across as loud.

mrydel, I'm in 211 and it never seemed really loud to me either. I'm kind of shielded from the students though. One thing I was really impressed by is how many stood doing important parts of the game. It was a legit big time college bball crowd. Several people around me even heckled a couple of UConn fans as they were leaving. It was great.

btw, I wish the students would jump up and down in unison like so many of the big bball schools do now. I've always thought that is cool.
