Kept seeing posts about him maybe being at the game. Is it really a big deal that he was there?

Local celebrity. Number one morning drive radio show. Especially popular with the key male demographic.

Talked mostly about the facility which he says is the best in Texas for basketball. Highly complimentary regarding the re-do. At the very end, he complemented Larry Brown for how well coached we appeared to be. He said Brown schooled Kevin Ollie.............

Good words for SMU. Brown coached Kevin Ollie in the NBA and he indicated it was like the teacher (Larry Brown) schooling the pupil (Kevin Ollie). And Kevin Ollie is very good coach.

The Ticket's the highest rated sports talk show in the country (more like a bunch of guys at a bar talking sports about 40% of the time). Craig Miller's good

Mrydel - its significant b/c local media like to crap on smu as most of us are used to. Once it becomes "cool" - they take notice

They rarely talk college and talk less about SMU and when they do they are usually bagging on us. If we have them talking positive, then we are really making some headway in visibility in DFW.

Winning a game like that is big. It would have been a set back to lose when everyone in Dallas and the Nation watching us.

All sounds good to me. With all the hubbub I would have thought Jr Samples was in the building.

Have not listened to the Ticket in over 10-15 years. It just became too sophomoric. I am also not in its demographic. I have noticed that Gordon Keith now writes opinion pieces for the DMN's. I saw the ticket crew standing out in front of Moody after the game.

They are UNT grads so there is some built in bias against SMU. Our athletic performance over the years has enabled them to either dismiss us or downright bag us. Miller is the more objective of the two so if Brown and company keep delivering wins, I think he will work SMU more into the mix..........

It was kind of funny - he wouldn't say we are good. He said UConn obviously has holes and that we were a well coached team.
