Some thoughts by an ex-opponent of SMU

I took a guy to the game on Saturday who played for Tech back in the day, played against Ira Terrell, and he was blown away by the change in SMU. I have taken him to games before, but he was very impressed with the way Brown coaches and the little things the kids are doing to counteract the opponent. All coaching. And the FG% and rebounds he identified as major indicators of how good this team is.

And he will be back for more.

He also said how back in the day when SMU and Tech were both top teams they would go out to the court in Moody 2 and a half hours before tipoff to warm up. The student sections were full!

Ira Terrell v Rick Bullock were Classic SWC games-they were in the same class. It started even in High School where I believe they faced off in Texas State High School Championship
