in his Memphis post game interview that
SMU is better than Memphis.
Congrats to my hometown Tigers for taking down their biggest rivals at their place.

Really?? Not sure that's true but it's still awesome. One the downside, he will have his guys ready for Sunday

Yeah! That's what worries me. The boys will have to withstand the start of the game. You know Louisville will come out swinging, and try to prevent a second consecutive home loss.

Could be a coach speak set up statement. Maybe he is saying that to motivate his guys in practice whether it is true or not. Pastner just gave Temple compliments and they play them next.

LHS81,
I agree.
SMU 86,
I heard him say that too, and IMO Temple is probably the worst team in the conference, along with Rutgers.

maybe he said it because its true. we don't always have to act like the underdog just because we have always been the underdog in the past. time to get some swagger. this is not a game for timid people

I said in my comments that he might mean it but it will still help keep his team focused in practice. It's more to the statement than whether it is true or not.

We just have to be ready.
A lot of people thought UConn would be focused after losing to Houston and we took care of them.
Now we need to be ready to face a hungry and motivated Louisville team. I think we're ready for this one.
Go Mustangs!

Sure did!
Need to do the same Sunday and I don't see any reason why we can't.

Maybe so, but Memphis played great tonight. They can beat anyone if they play like that. As for us being as good as Memphis, I don't think anyone truly knows how good we can be. No doubt we've got a lot of talent. Also, this highlights how good Cincinnati is because they dominated Memphis last weekend, in Memphis.

Can't overlook Houston either.

Don't think you can overlook USF. They have a big and athletic frontcourt. Granted their win was over Temple. But, anytime you can get a conference win on the road, you don't ask questions

An ESPN analyst just suggested that Pitino could be campaigning to get SMU an ACC invite...
Was shocked that an espn guy would suggest that. Seems random... But awesome!
