Looks like if a team can shut down Nic Moore they can shut down SMU. We better be ready for other teams to follow this blueprint.

He got a pretty good shot in the eye which gave him lots of problems.

There was something wrong with him. He was rubbing his head and appeared dazed. Might have a concussion.

The tv showed a close up of his eye and he had a nice gash. Suspect he had a pretty healthy headache also. Hope no concussion.

Whoever said shut down Nic Moore and SMU is done is dead-on. There is not one other player on this team capable of putting up 20 somewhat consistently. They targeted Moore and SMU couldn't score the ball in the 1st half. It was painful to watch in person. On top of that, holy [deleted], is there one other freaking person that can dribble the damn ball other than him? Russ Smith picked somebody, I think Russell, so clean it wasn't even funny when Moore went to the bench in the first half. Nic Moore is the team and the team only goes when he goes. Not just his scoring but the simple things he does. SMU doesn't have another guard that I trust with the basketball, I've never seen anything like it at the college level.

You should have seen it last year when Nic Moore wasn't eligible. It was kind of painful to watch even in a win. Also, I believe I may have said that a few weeks back.

It was so apparent down that stretch in the first half. I was shocked that Brown left him on the bench even with two fouls. I thought that was an awful decision by a coach I respect a lot. I think LB need to roll the dice because the team couldn't do anything offensively and were getting picked just bringing the ball into the front court. Outside of Manuel making a ridiculous shot and drawing fouls off of bad shots, there was zero offense in that stretch.

I imagine this will be the plan against us from here on out. While their D did a good job on him, he just was off his game. The injury may have some thing to do with it.

We definitely have a weakness there if he has any problems injury or fouls. We have to have him on the floor.

My concern is if a mediocre team finds a way to defensively shut Nic Moore down then all of a sudden it could become a close game.

I think that's a very legitimate concern Rebel. He is the catalyst to the success of the team, no doubt about it. He's the best player and it's not even close. It's more of a gap than I even thought it was at the beginning of the season. Not just the scoring he brings, but the offense he ultimately creates and bringing the ball up the court. Manual and Russell both suck at dribbling, not that they should be great ball-handlers, but neither can handle on-ball pressure by a quick guard.
