...aided by the fact that SMU prison "dated" the USF players. Yikes!

College basketball LOVES small under dogs. We keep playing well and the press will be easy to get/huge. Probably more nationally than in Dallas sadly.

Got texts from folks around the country watching the game who said the team and Moody look great. I need to watch the broadcast to see the love we got from ESPN.

Lots of love for both the team and Moody. Even more from the studio guys. As mrydel said, it was a virtual promo for SMU.

The Brown hire just keeps looking more brilliant with each passing game. The team really plays smart for the most part, except for the first halves of the Ark and UL games.

I can't remember a college event I've watched where the announcers literally did nothing but talk about how great everything ever SMU was. Buildings, Moody, library, campus, team, renovations, Larry, assistants, concessions, Loge seating. Yeesh. Simply amazing.

I've been saying this for ages, when you look at this objectively, with all the assets SMU has, why should a school like Memphis, Marquette or Gonzaga be considered a BB school and not SMU?

They kept cutting to other games with empty arenas. VT? Glad we weren't empty for a change.

It helped that Moody was packed. Love the atmosphere!

Some might argue it's because SMU is in Texas. To your point, doesn't mean SMU can't be very successful.

I was at the game, but I've heard from two close friends from Alabama who watched on TV and both said SMU must be going crazy for this team. They think SMU is a scary tournament team. Who were the announcers last night?

I was worried about the crowd early but in typical SMU style, many were fashionably late. Granted it was 6pm on a weekday.

Jason Benetti and Tim Welsh according to the SMU game notes.
