At worse, I think SMU might be sitting where they have UConn now. Still too much basketball to be played and uncertainty re: YM.

At this point and the way we are playing, it looks like we are in the tourney and off the bubble. We need to have some Louisville, Cincinnati, and Memphis scalps, at least a couple at home to be that 7 seed IMHO.

Right, at this time #7 is a bit too high. That puts us ahead of UConn (maybe OK) and Memphis (too early for that).

There are people out there publishing projections, it is ok to discuss them. Everyone here is aware of the fact that there are a lot of games on the schedule.

I do not mean to pick on you, but it seems like every time someone posts a link to a projection 3-4 people have to weigh in to remind everyone that it is a projection and there is a lot that could still happen.

Fair point Grant, but 99% of SMU fans tend to fall into one of two camps: ones that want to kill Santa and ones that want every day to be Xmas. The 1% need to help provide some balance.

yes - very interesting to see the take on the Big East. It is early - but they may have made a big mistake. They don't put at least 4 in the tournament and their basketball brand suffers - plus lots less money.
