His little 5-foot lefthand hook has become a great weapon. In these last few games he's let those scoring opportunity come to him and he's been a man on the boards.

I am very impressed with SW. He has always been a leader, even in the doh days but he has stepped up his game with a great attitude. I really pulling for this kid.

He had a terrific game. When he, MC and Nic are on, we are a pretty good team. If we can get YM back healthy and get some outside shooting (looking at KF), we will be very to beat.

Speaking of YM, did anyone see him nearly injure himself jumping up to assist Nick Russell when he took an out of bounds tumble? My heart skipped a beat, as did the team doctor's.

I will admit to being flat out wrong on him - I was bellyaching about his PT early in the year, and didn't see the point - but he took up the shooting slack last night and also was cleaning the glass like nobodies business - had a great game I thought. he and MK were just terrors in there - it would have been really frustrating to be a USF fan last night.

He has definitely stepped his game up. Although he's undersized to play power forward and not overly athletic, he's crafty around the basket and great at finishing with his left hand. Definitely been a boost for us this past couple weeks

that lefty is a silent killer - you look up and he has 4 buckets and you wonder where it came from.

I was happy with him last game, but it was one game against USF. Not to be a debbie downer but it reminds me of Lenzelle Smith Jr going off for 25 against Maryland or some crap team, then disappearing again in a big game. I'll reserve judgement on Shawn for when the game actually matters and it's not a 20 point route 5 minutes after tip.

Against Louisville he was 4 of 5 from the field with 10 points and 5 boards in only 13 minutes.

Shawn is one of those savvy veteran types. High bball IQ and great teammate. Will never really fill up a stat sheet. Does the little things. And he was actually a very highly touted recruit out of HS (one of the top in TX at the time). I have never had an issue with him. Is he Lebron? Of course not. Should he be a starter? Yes, I think he should.

he's a great example of why coach likes seniors
