We are projected as an 11 seed! Pretty exciting.

We've got like 10 threads about RPI, Ken Pom Rankings, Bracketology.

I vote that we use THIS THREAD as the main source.

Again, I think it's funny that the conference the new Big East left behind (AAC - 5) has more teams in and the conference the new Big East raided has more teams in (A10 - 5) than the Big Least - 4.

In their defense, the main reasons that they left were control and cost. First, the BB schools did not want their future dictated by football. Second, the cost of travel would have been difficult for relatively small Catholic schools to absorb.

In their place, I would probably have done the same thing.

I've always liked the 12-13 seed spot in the tourney. Beat a 4/5 and get another in 2nd round...nice path to Sweet 16. Next best thing is a 10/11 seed, but that 8/9 is tough. Let's just hope our guys earn their way in

Agree on 12/13 seed slot. The only problem these days is that typically requires an extra game with the "First Four" which only seems like a play in to get into the real tourney. Not that I will be complaining with any appearance mind you...

Isn't it the 16th seed that has the play in ?

A couple of years ago they created something that is called the "First Four". Its played in Dayton, OH every year and has 4 play in games. 2 for a 12 seed and 2 for a 16 seed.

Also this is now officially termed as the first round. Really stupid.

My bad. I just assumed the 4 16s had a play in.

we have a great shot to be 17-4. If we can win these easier games it could really be fun when Memphis comes to Moody. Wake me up.

I see us favored in the next 3 games. Let's take care of business at home and beat Houston, and I think we would be favored at home against Memphis.
