SAE: Get a clue

If you want to be big time, show it. Wear the team colors and name, not your chapter colors and name. This needs to stop. SAEs showed a lot of spirit. Go get an SMU shirt and make your school look good. Wear your Geek shirt to the chapter meeting. Pony up!

I thought they were great. I don't have a problem with them Wearing their chapter colors.
They created a lot of the " atmosphere" that fuel the players.

They were great, but it would be better if they wore SMU colors with their letters somewhere modestly placed. The jerseys with Greek letters and colors are borderline goofy. Maybe not even borderline.

As I posted in the game thread, the choice to wear purple Greek shirts was terrible but they made up for it with spirit. We need all the students to take their lead, in spirit not attire. btw, they are not the only ones. I can't understand why people go to a sporting event and wear dress clothes. Wear your team/school's colors. And I get that sometimes you're coming from working, church, or whatever but still it shouldn't be hard. Keep a shirt in the car.

Wear red or blue. No problem at all with displaying the letters prominently and I get the fact that each fraternity has its own colors, but this is an SMU game so wear SMU colors. If you want to wear your jersey with your frat colors, pick a day of the week and wear it to classes or chapter meetings

But they were loud and were into the game, so I'm not complaining too much.

this has been a tradition for years, get over it. look for most houses' new pledges to be all doing the same at the rutgers game. fraternity actives are all in the stands wearing plainclothes, it's just a pledgeship tradition

Actually school colors are a tradition.

Would be great for the tradition to change, and for the school to be more important than the fraternity jersey.

agree, time to act like a big program and stop. really looks dumb and outdated, especially if we are on TV

It is goofy. An sae alumn needs to talk to the pledge trainer and get it fixed.
