we have to beat a more relevant team to make a meaningful jump. 2/1 Memphis - that is our shot at getting some votes.

If we win the games we're supposed to win AND beat Memphis on Feb. 1, we're 18-4 and would have a very good shot at being ranked IMO

Houston has Rose and House back. So I don't know if that will be a game we are supposed to win at Houston.

I bit that point spread in Houston will be very small, assuming we beat Rutgers, which is no gimmie.

I like this team. I'm beginning to REALLY like this team. All away games are going to be tough, but if we can sweep the teams we are SUPPOSED to beat (USF, UCF, Temple, Rutgers) and even if we get swept by Cincy, Louisville, and Memphis, I like our chances to get to the tourney. I think those Houston games are going to be critical. It's tough because they are better than their record (losing House hurt a little) so a loss there would really hurt our RPI. I think the game AT Houston is our super bowl, especially with Yanick out. The guys are going to play their hearts out to win that one.

UCONNN is also essentially #27.

I think of the remaining 5 resume games we have left ( vs Memphis, @ Memphis, @UConn, vs Cincy, vs Lousiville) we really need to find a way to win at least 1 and, more likely, 2 to have a respectable shot at the tourney. That's in addition to taking care of the rest of our business.

IMO, we could be anywhere from 20-11 to 24-7 before the conference tourney, and we'll probably be somewhere in the middle, 22-9, with us stealing one resume game and losing one we should win (probably @ Houston)

Sounds pretty reasonable. The last five games will dictate a lot.

This team is playing great right now. We played far from our best game against UCF on Saturday and still won by double digits on the road. Houston game down there will be a challenge but I think we can play with just about anyone right now

I feel confident against Rutgers at home. The usf game will be tough and similar to UFC prior to their best player going down, so we will have to play better. I think we win against rutgers and usf but agree Houston will be the key game. They seem to play down (rice) and up (Uconn) competition at home. All their games appear to be close. Hope we make our FTs in that game.

I'll admit last night's game was the most enjoyable game I've been to in a while outside of the UConn game. The crowd was great, the team played very well and not down to the competition, the 2nd half turned into an SMU dunk contest and KF showed signs of coming out of his slump. I'm loving this and I can't wait for the Rutgers game.

I think LB will have them ready as well. That's not what I talking about. I was just talking from a pure odds standpoint with the injured players returning. Odds could be more of a toss up now.
