Posted: Mon Jan 20, 2014 1:56 pmWhen I had a chance to watch the guys practice last year I knew Kennedy and Moore were going to have a huge impact on this season but as I optimistic as I was about Kennedy I wasn't expecting this kind of production. He got off to a slow start but since the beginning of conference play he's been our best player.
As the announcers mentioned during the UCF broadcast, Kennedy has lost almost 50 pounds since arriving at SMU. He's becoming more athletic as the season goes and as his conditioning improves. He scores in the paint, rebounds like a center and always has that Philly toughness on the court. Also, since the start of conference play he's finishing around the bucket with dunks. Showing his improved athleticism. It's just another example of this staff knowing how to build a team with transfers who contribute at a high level in year one.
