I realize their record is not good, but they have three guys averaging over 10 points a game and one of them averaging 17.

They shoot 44% from the Floor, 70% from the Line and 34% from 3.

They start all upper classmen as well….and they play 10 guys deep.

Are these guys better than we think?

Did you watch the post-game press conference videos (on the home page)? Great quote from Hofstra coach Joe Milinich:

"If there's a better defensive team in the country (than SMU), I'd like to see it."

(That might not be word-for-word, but it's close.)

Larry Brown seemed amused by the statement, but also flattered and said in no uncertain terms how much he respects Milinich. Brown didn't seem inclined to claim the title of the nation's top defensive team — he quickly pointed out that SMU has a lot of room for improvement — but he clearly was very pleased with the progress the SMU defense has made this season.

They've only played 4 away games and lost all of them, including at Uab. Not even close against Houston or Cincy. We can't afford to lose this game. I think we'll pull away in the second and comfortably win in the end.

They played Louisville close and they are athletic. Depends on which Rutgers team shows up. Could be a close game or SMU could blow them out.
