Ranked above...Syracuse/Miami....Georgetown/Creighton....Colorado/ASU

10. SMU at Houston (AAC) | Sunday, Jan. 26, 3 p.m., ESPN News

About the Mustangs: Larry Brown's group has a legitimate chance of reaching the NCAA tournament, having lost to the AAC's top two teams in Cincinnati and Louisville. But in order for SMU to keep its RPI at a respectable level, picking up road victories is a must. The Mustangs shoot the ball well, making 49% of their shots. And whenever this team wins the rebounding battle, it's hard to beat.
About the Cougars: Ugly losses in the Cougars' non-conference schedule makes an NCAA tourney bid a longshot, but Houston could separate itself from the middle-of-the-pack AAC teams and inch closer towards the top of the pack with a win.

Star watch: SMU guard Nic Moore (12.9 ppg, 4.6 apg) and forward Marcus Kennedy (11.2 ppg, 6.6 rpg). Houston forwards TaShawn Thomas (16.7 ppg, 8.7 rpg) and Danuel House (13.9 ppg, 5.6 rpg).
Our pick: SMU. Kennedy, SMU's developing big man, is a beast in the paint and will duel with Thomas for an important interior matchup. Another enticing individual matchup comes at the point guard spot, as 5-9 Moore has been able to create gaps for the Mustangs. Houston's L.J. Rose (9.2 ppg, 5.2 apg) will likely check him.

This weekend sucks for CBB. I'll watch the UM and MSU match-up, and SMU game obviously but nothing else I'm remotely interested in really.

Clemson vs UNC has people's interest around here because Clemson has NEVER won in Chapel Hill. UNC looks more vulnerable than ever and Clemson (before laying an egg at Pitt last week) was looking pretty competitive

I'm still not sure how good Clemson really is, they knocked off the Dukies though, that's a feat in and of itself for them. Seems to be a decent team but I've only seen them once and that was enough for me haha
