The Ocho (aka ESPN News)

Anyone else miffed with ESPN's placement of this game?

- Not on ESPN because of Xgames? They keep broadcasting these things, so someone must be watching...
- Not on ESPN2 because of women's College basketball? There is no way this games registers on the ratings.
- Not on ESPNU because of women's College basketball? There is no way this games registers on the ratings. And it's AAC women's basketball, how is that a more marketable game for the conference?

ESPN News is the proverbial Ocho. I never knew they broadcasted games until our games started showing up on there. I would imagine most sports fans wouldn't think of ENEWS when looking for games to watch.

I appreciate that all our games are available nationally, but we have a long way to go in the respect department.

Hey I'm just glad that they're showing our games on tv and not having to listen on the radio or follow on the sportscenter app.

I understand if you don't have the channel but the placement on Dish is really pretty good between ESPN and ESPN2. You never know where some of these Big 12 games will be and they aren't always near the Sports lineup

If we keep winning, some of our late season games might get moved to ESPN or ESPN2; we've got to earn an audience after having been a doormat for so long

All the ESPN networks blur together anyway. I'm just glad we are a part of the ESPN family. What I'm really miffed about is for the second time in a week, the DMN doesn't list our game as being televised in today's paper. All other college games are listed but ours.

After ESPN Prime, they are all the same to me.

Since ESPN owns the X-games, they are always going to promote the crap out of it.

ESPNEWS used to not show games ever. So those listings are just never looked at.

For some reason, I have ESPN news, but not ESPN news HD, so I still have to use ESPN 3, otherwise I feel like I'm in the 90's. It's really really odd..... Damn you cox

I guess that makes me wonder, is this just a mistake to not list those games? As in, because they don't normally show games, no one at the DMN checks the lineup on that station? Or is it a choice they make, "well espnnews didnt use to show games so we won't list any on that station"?

If it's the former, then I would think a single email to the right person could solve that. The latter, well then the DMN is truly backward and is playing games with SMU.

The Arkansas paper never lists ESPNews games either. It is not a DMN conspiracy.
