We were 18-6 under Dement after beating UTEP on Feb 8, 2001.

Then, of course, we lost our final six!

Dement even had us at 21-5 in 1999-2000 before we lost our last four to finish 21-9.

Before that it was the SWC Championship season of 1987-8 in Bliss' final season when we finished 28-7.

Hopefully this is the start of being 12+ over .500 every season.

I remember being 21-5. Thought that was the start of a long trend if dominating hilltop bball. Couldn't get over the conference tourney hump.

I've been a fan since I started at SMU in the fall of '06. It's been a long-time coming for me, and it is so awesome to see such a quality product.

1999 is when I arrived at SMU and I thought we were just going to be really good all the time. I enjoyed Dement's team, just couldn't turn the corner it seemed.
