In the Gannett acquisition. I wonder if overeager reporters have looser reign than they should in the corporate consolidation? Someone from Gannett should definitely investigate!

you are talking about Gannett right? the same news organization that approved the printing of addressees for owners of registered guns? i don't think this one is going to hit their radar at all.

It's a pretty big, journalistic black eye at a major recent acquisition. Yes, they should investigate.

This isn't a black eye. No one is calling him out except for smu fans on this board. He has done, and gotten away with far worse. Who gives a crap - we are fine, let's get back to worrying about basketball and completely ignore this [deleted]

Common it is fun to bag on him especially when the story is a lead balloon. The tenor will change as soon as tip off tomorrow night. Win or lose.

As soon as this story came out, I did a little research on the reporter. Seems he has a hard-on for high school athletes (literally or figuratively, maybe both) - he's run stories on QBs at Wax, on Aurthur at Kansas, went after Deion and Prime Prep to the point that the Prime football players ran him off of their practice field, surrounded him and got in his face.
Dude is a hack. This is a non-story.
And let me just add, as a GC myself, it sure appears that nobody is minding the store at WFAA - they are playing very fast and loose and I sure hope it comes back to bite them soon.
