“@EvanDaniels: The McDonald's All-American teams will be announced today on ESPNU at 6:00 ET.”

It'll be cool to see our second in two years. Oh how things have changed.

I'm surprised as to how low his average stats are: 14.6 pts / 5 assists / 1.4 steals / 5.8 rebounds / over 5 turnovers a game? (says he played in 13 games and has 50 TOs).

Hmmmm.

His points are easy to explain, he's not assertive. Hopefully it's not a trend moving forward, it's hard to teach someone to have a scoring mind-set. The guy can score at will but he's passive. The rebounding number is impressive as are the steals. And his assists are pretty good at the high school level. Gotta remember that it's a 32 minute game and there is no shot clock. On top of that, he often times is not the one bringing the ball up the court. So I'd say the assists are actually pretty impressive, you won't see many PGs averaging much more in HS.

As for the turnovers, in the games I watched last summer and a few weeks back, he makes a "wow" pass more often than making the easy pass. I think it's pretty easily correctable. He just needs to make better decisions and realize he can make two different passes and get the same result. Just my two cents.

As a top 5 player in the country, can we expect him to come in a make a more immediate contribution like what Jabari Parker has compared to what KF has made so far?

And to nobody's surprise (but much joy) EM made the roster!

lol him and KF aren't on the same planet. Yes. Maybe not Jabari Parker, but this year's freshmen are one really special class. He should be much closer to Parker though than KF.

Anyways, congrats to EM. Not that it's a surprise, but always cool.

Maybe not Parker but probably closer to Aaron Gordon imo.

Good assessment. I thought the rebounding numbers were indeed impressive, but he is 6'4" and already with an NBA ready body for the most part. The assertiveness very much concerns me. Nic Moore is assertive. He can't come in here and try to take a backseat to Nic Moore. He needs to come in and be a leader right away. Would love to see him be a 15/5/5 guy (15 points/5 assists/1.5 steals/5 rebound type average for him here next year. :-)

I think he can get that stat-line, maybe not steals. The points just won't be that flashy. Lot of "garbage" buckets, FTs from his ability to get to the rim and fast break points. He's a good player. Nic will be the leader on the floor, just not Mudiay's game.

Ohio, are you insinuating that Mudiay will be playing two guard next year? the ball needs to be in his hands every possession imo
