It is absolutely, preposterously absurd that the NCAA should have absolutely ANY say in this whatsoever. Dude needs to see his mom off, SMU willing and able to help, boom. Done. I'm really glad we went on record with saying we got approval and all, but that it is REQUIRED is absolutely freaking nuts. It's like the twilight zone. Crazy.

OhioBrownFan - seems you know a lot about these things due to your past. Was curious about NCAA selection process. Will there be an advantage for SMU just because LB is the HC? If I am right - they will want this as a story line and that will impact selection (even though we all know that it should not).

this would be a nice story for our SID to suggest to the DMN. Sometimes you can basically write it for them and they will go with it since all journalists are lazy.

I'm very proud of my university, the young men on this team, the kids at the games supporting it, and the legend that is The Godfather leading us all. We still have a long way to go, but damn this all feels good right now.
