Was he is the dog house for the first 15 minutes today? Didn't see him before the 5 minute mark in the first.

I hope he gets out of the doghouse so he can take back those minutes from Head.

Ryan is just not going to get many minutes with the talent on this roster. Still a strong defender who should be a "Situational' guy a contributor. He will be a popular senior with the fans for having experienced the highs and lows of SMU bball

Right, he doesn't need to be anywhere near the ball.

wow - disagree on that one. I thought he sparked the team last night with his slashes to the bucket. he just isn't a point guard. his rebounding is amazing.
We have tough sledding when Nic is out.

I think AL and PP4 were talking about Head.

I'm also curious about crendall head. He just seemed lost out there yesterday. We could use him.

I haven't seen it with Head. Not sure what he brings. And it's not like he is a great defender from what I can tell. He makes at least 1 bonehead play every time he sees the floor. I overheard the students next to me complaining about Head so it isn't just me. But who am I to question the godfather.

I think Ryan has established himself as this teams back up point guard, t's just that nic Moore plays 30 minutes plus a game because he is one of our best players. Manual is a good defender and is aggressive if not particularly skilled. Not sure how much playing time he will get next year but it's always good to have athletic guards with good size.
Crandall had probably the worst 5 minutes of basketball ever but normally is a good defender.

Agree with you guys, Head is lost and cost us some pts. Too bad we dont have anyone that can backup PG. When Moore goes out our game is very flat. Ryan is good for a few defense min but without a jumper, very limited.

Obviously Crandall didn't have a great game yesterday, but I think there's some upside there. Kind of like Ryan. There's just so much talent on this team that they both will probably be restricted to mostly situational use.
The nice thing is that we actually have a deep enough roster that if someone's under-performing we can normally get them off the floor. (Except Markus or Nic... they just contribute too much and are consequently missed too much. Even in a good game, it's incredibly obvious when Nic comes off the court.)

Conversation between my son and I at yesterday's game.
Me: I can't believe he just took Nic out of the game!!
Son: He can't play the whole 40 minutes, Dad.
Me: Why not!!!!
I do understand he has to get a breather occasionally, but it is so obvious how disjointed we are when he is on the bench.

all those early second half timeouts by Memphis allowed SMU starters to play more minutes. I agree with most on Crandall Head-but really I have seen improvement in all other 9 players on the team. It would be nice if Head would calm down and make it 10. The guy tightens up
Manual drives me nuts but his energy level and defense have been helpful in several games. He's a freak athletically-not much of a basketball player. He is fearless in attacking the basket though. I bet he gets fouled a lot and is a decent free throw shooter

I mentioned elsewhere that I watched Head during the warm ups and he was draining 3s from everywhere. I am guessing, he, like Frazier are zone busters. Only problem is that he does not hit them in the game. Like Frazier, he just needs to loosen up and perhaps he will become productive. I do not believe he is geared to be a point.
