What is the name of the song the band plays when they all jump in the air at the football games? Why do they not do this for the basketball game, would look really cool with as much student support we've had so far.

"Beans," if I am not mistaken.

They've done "Beans" at basketball games before. I barely hear the band anymore, although that is probably due to the greatly increased crowd noise and not lack of enthusiasm on the band's part. It is odd though, since for years the band members were easily the loudest fans at every game.

Memphis was first game they haven't done it for some reason.

That said, the rendition of 'Speak Softly Love ' (Godfather Theme) was awesome!!!

And I couldn't even hear it. I'm gonna listen closer next time... it's a great song and awesomely appropriate.

The Godfather song was incredible. I don't think most of the stadium got it though

Really? I've been at almost all the games in Moody this year and not seen it once? Strange. And that's probably correct about the band, the student / fan noise has been so good we might not need it, but it would look cool in Moody with the entire lower section (except red seats) jumping in the air to that. :D

This past Saturday when watching on t.v. I could only hear the band a couple of times---a version of Peruna and then at the end of the game.

We've definitely done Beans in Moody this year. I think even the alumni band did it.

The band plays great this year; I wish they would join in with the other students and yell, though. They look a little sad and wounded at times.

The band will come along......they are probably in shock that all of the yelling isn't on their shoulders anymore!!

It comes thru great on TV. I watched the replay and CBS kept it at the game thru the timeout and you could hear the theme in the background pretty much the whole time. Excellent. Plus lots of Mob and fan love from the announcers.

It was great timing too. Crucial timeout right before half time. I walked over to a few of them at halftime and told them it was awesome. They seemed to appreciate hearing the acknowledgment.
