We should come into the polls in the high-teens tomorrow. Anything less is a slap in the face. A win would have just gotten us into the Top 25. Two [deleted] kickings to Top 25 Teams earns you a higher ranking.

I agree, knowing the media I expect 18-22 range.

If we are not in the top 20 something is not right. USF was a bad loss, but they've made up for that by kicking the crap out of two top 25 teams, including a top 10 team! USF was a reality check for them, I don't see us with another bad loss the rest of the season. Take care of Temple and Rutgers this week! Should be some good road tests for us.

No way it's a "slap in the face". Moving up 5-7 spots would be a good jump given that it was a home win (even though it was a beating). That's 23-25.

To move up we've got to knock someone down. Depends on the teams ahead of us. I know Okie St (#19) and Gonzaga (#23) have lost. Mich St plays Wisconsin today. We need Wisconsin to lose as they were #26 last ranking.

Home win vs a top ten opponent. 18, 19, 20 seems right

there is a logjam around 25 now - we'll see. Beat Temple & Rutgers and let's revisit.

Not saying it won't happen, but I just don't consider a 7 spot jump (#22) as a "slap in the face". IMO, 11 spot jump is a bit rich. Clearly I would be happy if it did, but I'm just not betting beer money it will happen. 22 is my bet.

The usf loss really stings now, as I think we would have been ranked last week. I'm sure LB will have them learn from that experience to focus and play hard and disciplined at Rutgers and temple. A ranking now won't mean anything if we lose one of our next two games. Get ranked and work our way up the rankings.
