I usually listen to the Ticket and I have no doubt each show will do a segment tomorrow on SMU basketball. Mike Rhyner, who rarely talks up anything, was going on and on about SMU basketball on Twitter last night. He was at the game and was throughly blown away by the experience. It will be really interesting to hear what all the shows say tomorrow.

I saw that, too. Tough guy to impress. I'll definitely tune in.

how could you not be blown away? the roof was about to come off the place. And its a first class venue. The commentators for EsPN last night were saying they loved absolutely everything about the place. That Brook wiesbrod isn't bad either, as an announcer and looking.

Damn, I'm going to miss it. Take notes. As for the roof blowing off, the ESPNU commentator said that exact thing when Nic Moore hit a 3 with 8 min left. "Moore for three…..and the roof comes off!!"

Rheiner has always been partial to SMU. He grew up in Oak Cliff, and attended a lot of SMU games in the 60's and 70's.

It was just an SMU love-fest for 15 minutes. Solid pub.

That was awesome. Rich of course did great, but Donovan was into it as well.
Best comment from Donovan was something to the effect of, "This area is just dying for SMU to be good in athletics."

Rich was going on and on. Everything we know, just saying how great it is right now. He totally gets it and said fball hasn't beaten anyone worthwhile (other than TCU a few yrs ago) - which is the big difference in crowds.

He should get it; he's seen almost every second of basketball and football for years. One of our only ambassadors for years on local media. Glad he's getting to see this.

Jay Bilas just talked SMU on ESPN Radio. Thinks we're a tournament team, but probably not the second weekend. Although he did say it wouldn't shock him if we did make it that far.

The Musers also gushed about SMU for a good 10 minutes. Junior has been to a few games and is echoing Mike's sentiments. SMU basketball is blowing up you guys
